You will also be able to access our Society Portal. You can be part of up to five societies, including the ones you can create yourself - societies are made to gather together people of similar interests, or just a group of friends. You can try to earn points for your society, and if you own it, buy add-ons like calendars, poll booths, and more.
Not only that, but you'll also be able to participate in a wide variety of other portals including the Contest Portal, Oekaki Portal, Gallery Portal, and more.

October 1st Well actually, I've been doing some more edits and revisions to the layout and the way everything works; I haven't really added anything new. So uh... :D  A sneak peak maybe? :) Cute perhaps? Adorable possibly? Darling, essentially? Yes! Just don't piss Eevee off...  My "current project" is still the Underground Digsite. I'm going to get started on that probably near the end of the week because I have a test tomorrow that I've hardly studied for, and two tests and a debate next week. I'll try to code more in my free time but I'm hitting a bumpy spot school-wise! Surprisingly, the site upgrade is going really fast; almost all of the essential systems are done, we just need to start adding content (Well that's not completely true, the shop script isn't finished, nor is the Travel script). So, just keep hanging tight, doing.. whatever you're doing right now. Next up after the Underground Digsite is... Pokemon Gardens, that's going to be such a fun game to code. :) It's going to use one of those horrible yet surprisingly addicting Pokemon-Craterlike maps where you refresh to move (horrid, I know ^_~ It's okay, it's only navigating a small garden area!) Hey, I was thinking about a couple things during math early today, and all of a sudden, I got this huge flow of really great ideas. But if I put some of them into action on EHQ4 then things would change pretty dramatically. So I'm kind of torn. Thus, I am creating a "questionnaire" in order to see what people think. Please fill it out and reply with it in your post.
QUESTIONNAIRE: 1. Would you prefer to dress up a Pokemon Trainer version of yourself, or an Eevee? 2. Would you prefer to have one Eevee with hunger and happiness, or multiple Pokemon (allowing for a battle system)? 3. If you chose "multiple Pokemon" on #2, would you prefer that every Pokemon were equal, or that you had one "top" Pokemon - (which would be your Eevee) that were able to experience happiness, hunger, and have more dressup items? 4. If you chose "one Eevee" on #2, would you agree that "lesser Pokemon" that you could battle and train would be a nice addition? 5. Last... if any of your choices involved in a "#1 Pokemon" being the Eevee, which would experience happiness/hunger and be able to be dressed up, would you prefer that you could dress up that Eevee, or a human trainer? Some of it is redundant, but please answer them all as best as you can. I had so many really great ideas about how it could work that I was tempted to just do it, however, if we were to remove the "top dog" Eevee with dressup, then some of the funnest features on v4 would have to be removed. My thoughts are.. 1. Dress up your own trainersona. 2. Your #1 Pokemon, Eevee, remains; however, it does NOT participate in battles, although you can train its "abilities. It experiences happiness, hunger, and moods. It can be dressed up as well, but with a small number of items. 3. You can catch, raise and train other "lesser" Pokemon as well. They do not have happiness, hunger, or moods to the level that your Eevee does (although I might employ something similar, but less needy). You can store them in your Box, of course, but you would only have 5 in your roster (because #1 would be... yes, Eevee!) ***** Why all the sudden change of.. heart? Well, I don't really know. I think it's because I so badly want to be able to have trainers battle, but I've spent hours just pondering how a battle system would work with only one Eevee, which is a Normal type. I considered weapons... weapons on an Eevee? No such thing. I considered items that could change its type and give it different types of moves. It might work - but not really. That would be like getting a Drifloon and saying "oh my god, this Drifloon should be able to dig underground with its head," and bam, suddenly the Drifloon lives underground with all the Digletts. Nothing worked, so I guess that's why I thought: why don't we just have other Pokemon that aren't necessarily as grand as the Eevee is? Anyway, I'm ranting, I probably revealed a little much, and kinda went overboard, I'm sure. If you actually read all this, I want you to remember this keyword: cookie17. Seriously. _REMEMBER_ it. And fill out the questionnaire!
Whew! I just finished the design for EHQ4, as I guess it should be called. (Uh, what about the two little screenshots we all ready saw? Well, I kinda ditched that and remade the layout). Tough work, man! X_X; I just spent 4 hours designing the Mailbox alone. Well, at least I got a lot of the CSS work done. But I'll be working with that particular file for a while longer, at least xD
Artist applications are closed. We received a lot of applications, but we've decided the person best equipped for the job is Neon - she's all ready proven herself more than capable for the job. However, since we got so many good applications, I'm gonna do something special for all the applicants and put buttons up to their websites for a week on the EHQ Community. I've discovered that holding off release of a new version until it's 100% done doesn't work very well, because well, that takes forever - and what makes a website so great and successful is the amount of new content and activity of webmaster(s)! If you don't all ready know, we're hiring an "NPC artist" to draw the Pokemon used around Eevee's HQ. Requirements: 1. Be able to CG in a professional art program (ie: Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro) 2. KNOWLEDGE of said art program, and ability to produce images with transparent PNG files. 3. Great skill in drawing all sorts of Pokemon, not just Eevees and cat-like things. 4. Able to draw additional items and changes - for instance, a Pelipper with a mailbag or a Meowth with a bag of money (I bet you can guess where those would go). 6. To be able to complete art within a reasonable period. Drawing a simple cell-shaded Pokemon no bigger than 200px can't take 5 hours. If it does, you're not right for the job. Payment: If you really need money, I can pay a ____little____. Not a lot, a little. Artists will receive an "artist" user group, be looked up to by members, moderator abilities (if they want). Also, I'll buy a domain for the artist if they own a website, and host it (or give it to them - either way.)
